This delightful Cigar Makers cottage at 1008 Whitehead was built in the 1880's. There was once a Cigar Factory across the street on Truman Ave. It's history also includes the previous owner, David Kaufelt, the well known writer, who sold it to its current owner.

Quaint and charming, with a view of the famous Key West Lighthouse from the front of the house, this two bedroom (a full and 2 twins which can be made into a king bed if requested) is a cozy oasis just one half block from Hemingway's House and Duval Street.

Featuring original Key West artists thruout, the tropical living room has a TV/DVD player, the kitchen is fully equipped but does not have an oven (who wants to bake in Key West, anyway) but there is a large gas BBQ grill on your rear deck for grilling, chilling and relaxing. French doors across the kitchen allow lots of natural light and ventilation, especially in our cool tropical winter months!
